In A.P.C.'s boutiques (in France, the U.S.A., Japan, Germany, Sweden and Denmark), we only distribute our own musical productions, accompanied by a minuscule proportion of recordings that we feel have a similar outlook. We recently decided to distribute the album by the group "Housse de racket" for a simple reason : this young band manages to carry off superlative songwriting in French, something that we consider all too rare. In a country where the good musicians are obliged to express themselves in English, it takes true courage, not just to try, but to succeed at composing songs in French. Victor and Pierre make words come to life : that's poetry. Novelists receive a certain clemency. But making French-language lyrics come alive, accompanied by enjoyable music, is heroic. What's more, on stage, the group is hilarious and captivating. Their music deserves to be discovered and acclaimed.
